This movie alone is shitty, compared to the original 1982 film it is an utter disgrace. The actors aren’t bad actors because I’ve seen all of them in better works this film just didn’t hold up to its predecessor. It wasn’t scary, it wasn’t mysterious, and it wasn’t an efficient sci-fi film. All of the things it claimed to be. If you are going to watch the “The Thing” watch the 1982 film, it’s a classic horror film that was well acted and superb special effects. Both films lacked character development but the 2011 film falls way short. Everything just seemed rushed and it was disappointing to watch.
